Izamal and the Santa Bárbara cenotes

Izamal early, and the whole afternoon in four cenotes

Izamal and the Santa Bárbara cenotes

This one puts together the two most requested. Izamal first thing, when you can still cross the atrium without the ground burning, and Santa Bárbara afterwards, with the full five hours the site allows. Inside you do not walk between cenotes: you go by bicycle or cart. And the four are nothing alike — one is a closed cavern, another opens just enough to let a shaft of light through, and the other two are out in the open among the trees. Entry and lunch are included.

Questions

How is it different from the cenotes-only tour?

This one adds Izamal in the morning. The cenotes-only tour goes straight to the site and spends the whole day there.

Is five hours at the cenotes too long?

That is how long the full visit takes: four cenotes, the bike ride, lunch and the breaks in between. It is not five hours in the water.

Is it good with children?

Yes. Izamal is flat and takes little time, and in the cenotes the life vest is required for everyone.
