Step by step
- Pick a tour or transfer. Check the itinerary, what's included and what's extra. You can open the full itinerary in the catalogue on this page.
- Message on WhatsApp. The "Book" button opens a chat with your request already filled in: tour, date, number of people, name and phone.
- Confirmation. You'll hear whether there's space, usually the same day.
- Deposit. You pay at least 50% of the tour (or the full amount) using your preferred method. Payment details are agreed on WhatsApp and stay in writing there.
- Tour day. You show up at the office in downtown Mérida (or the agreed pickup point) and pay the balance before boarding.
What to have ready when you message
- The tour you're interested in and a date (or two options).
- How many people, and whether there are children.
- Where you're staying, in case it's on the way for pickup.
- Whether you need an invoice.
- Any special needs: mobility, diet, pregnancy.
From this page, bookings are for groups of 4 or more, and the Bacalar, Isla Mujeres and Tulum trips come with a per-person coupon.
Cancellations and date changes
Read this before you pay. Under the Mary Tours booking policy:
- There are no refunds for cancellations by the customer, full or partial.
- There's also no refund for parts of the tour you choose to skip, or if you don't show up without notice.
- You can try to change the date, as long as there's space on the new departure and no costs have already been paid to suppliers. Message as soon as you know you can't make it.
Profeco, Mexico's consumer protection agency, recommends getting the cancellation, payment, deposit and refund terms in writing before booking any tourism service. This is exactly that information.
Your rights as a tourist
Mexico's General Tourism Law recognizes your right to useful, accurate and truthful information in advance, to receive services under the agreed conditions and to ask for documents that prove them. Keep the WhatsApp conversation where your booking was confirmed and your deposit receipt: they're your record.
Fun facts
- A booking is only valid once confirmed through the official WhatsApp or at the office.
- Payment details stay in writing in the same WhatsApp conversation.
- If you don't show up without notice, the service counts as provided.
